I. A Name.

A. What's in a Name? (Matthew 1:20-21).

II. A City.

A. Babylon Was Enriched by Nations’ Revenues (Daniel 2:37-38).

B. Babylon Dominated the Lands Within Its Grasp (Revelation 17:15).

C. Babylon Was Full of Idolatry and Its Associated Uncleanness.


III. A Mother: “THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”

A. Her Mothering.

B. Her Drunkeness (Isaiah 54:1-3; Revelation 17:6).

C. Her Exposure.

1. John Wycliffe (1320-1384).

2. John Hus (1360-1415).


Conclusion:

It is revealed that the nations as ungodly would destroy Babylon (Revelation 17:16). Therefore (Acts 14:22).
